Independent hip-hop artist Tones has released “83 A.D.”, a collaboration featuring underground lyricist The Bad Seed and produced by Pazi.
The collaboration began organically when The Bad Seed joined one of Tones’s live streams. While watching Tones freestyle, The Bad Seed praised his lyrical ability, filling the chat with fire emojis before reaching out about recording a track together. The chemistry was immediate and just one week later, “83 A.D.” was recorded.
The title “83 A.D.” is a nod to a lyric from Pumpkinhead’s Brooklyn Academy catalog, paying tribute to a respected piece of underground hip-hop history while allowing Tones and The Bad Seed to create something distinctly their own.
